Project overview

Intobi’s work with Auto Nagel began in early 2024 to build a scalable SaaS platform that fit their operations end to end, from eCommerce to logistics and document workflow management. Their existing system was fragmented and couldn’t support growing eCommerce operations or efficient document handling, so the goal was to turn a patchwork of tools into one robust, integrated platform ready to scale.

Challenges

  • The legacy system struggled with complex document workflows and logistics — manual, error-prone document creation and weak integration between eCommerce, logistics tracking, and document management.
  • Scaling eCommerce was blocked by missing functionality like role-based access and streamlined purchasing, limiting product expansion.
  • Transportation and driver operations lacked real-time tracking and driver management, creating bottlenecks — and tying accounting to logistics was complex.
  • Separate modules for each operation left no unified way to manage eCommerce, logistics, and document workflows together.

Delivery Approach

Intobi joined Auto Nagel’s team and rebuilt their fragmented setup into a modular platform on Symfony, Pimcore, GraphQL, and Docker, including a fast ramp-up on Pimcore, an enterprise PHP platform new to the team at the time.

Discovery & planning

We audited the legacy modules and where they broke down, then agreed the scope for a single platform to replace eCommerce, logistics, and document tools that never talked to each other.
