Project overview

Intobi built Sip&Pay to modernize how nightclubs handle ordering and payment, a reliable SaaS platform designed around the reversed flow that sets clubs apart from restaurants: drinks are paid for first, then prepared. By supporting that distinctive process from the ground up, the platform keeps operations running smoothly for both guests and staff.

Challenges

  • Niche customization of workflow — in contrast with restaurants, clubs require prepayment before serving; this critical difference had to be embodied in the system.
  • Multi-level administration — introduce super admins and club admins with distinct permissions and catalogs.
  • Frictionless ordering and payment — provide a seamless user experience to scan a QR code and confirm an order.
  • Scalable architecture — the SaaS platform had to be capable of supporting hundreds of clubs, thousands of guests, and real-time updates to orders.

Delivery Approach

Discovery & workflow design

Because a nightclub reverses the restaurant model — guests pay first, then get served — the engagement began by mapping that prepayment flow in detail and defining the three roles the platform would revolve around: super admin, club admin, and guest.

Architecture & planning

We planned a multi-tenant SaaS architecture on .NET Core and AWS to serve hundreds of clubs and thousands of concurrent guests, with real-time order updates and role-based access at its core.

Backend & payments engineering

Backend work centered on the prepay-then-prepare logic, secure payment confirmation, and the permission model that keeps each club’s menu, pricing, and orders isolated under its own admin.

Frontend & QR ordering experience

Angular powered a frictionless guest flow – scan a QR code at the table, browse the menu, and pay in a few taps – alongside clear dashboards for club and super admins.

Key features

Two-way ordering/payment system

The scalable SaaS architecture has three user groupings within a single ecosystem: Super Admin, who owns the product and can handle all the clubs in the system; Club Admins, who create individual club menus, products, and pricing; and Guests, who scan a QR code at their table, view the menu, and place an order and pay immediately.

Easy delivery and ordering process

Sip&Pay links the entire nightclub ordering process end to end: customers scan a QR code on the table, browse the club’s online menu and beverage selection, and the system generates a bill that the server pays immediately. Once payment is confirmed, the bartender or waiter accepts the order and begins preparing it, and staff mark the order complete upon delivery.

Super admin portal

The super admin can create and maintain numerous clubs in the system and manage access to control clubs and worldwide activities. This centralized control ensures consistency across all clubs and lets the super admin respond quickly to operational needs from a single, effective dashboard, reducing administrative overhead.

Club admin portal

Club admins review product catalogs (spirits, cocktails, snacks, and more), set pricing and availability, and keep track of orders received. Admins have full control over their menu and complete order visibility, ensuring faster service, fewer mistakes, and the ability to adjust offerings based on real-time customer demand.

Results

The new platform delivered measurable gains in order speed, service, and reliability, giving club admins a simple tool to manage menus, pricing, and order flow without technical hurdles, and super admins a bird’s-eye view across every club for easier management and reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Contact us
How is Sip&Pay different from a restaurant ordering system?
The case explains that nightclubs need the opposite payment flow from restaurants: drinks are paid for first, then prepared, and Sip&Pay’s workflow was built around that distinctive process rather than adapted from a restaurant model.
Can one operator manage multiple clubs on Sip&Pay?
Yes, the case describes a Super Admin role that manages all clubs in the system, alongside Club Admin roles scoped to an individual club’s own menu, pricing, and orders.
How do guests place an order?
The case describes guests scanning a QR code at their table, browsing the digital menu, and paying immediately, after which staff prepare and mark the order complete.
Can Sip&Pay handle a busy night without slowing down?
Yes, the platform was built on a scalable SaaS architecture designed for hundreds of clubs and thousands of concurrent guests, and the case reports 99.9% uptime with stable performance even under high-traffic loads.
